When I use the Chrome Voice In extension or Dictanote, Windows 11 tells me that Gemini Advanced is using a microphone in Chrome. In addition, the extension interprets the words “copy”, “paste” and “cut” (in my language) as commands and refuses to type them. What is the reason for this? What do others see in the Windows 11 taskbar over microphone icon when the Voice In add-on is running?

That might be a temporary glitch. On my end, it says Chrome is using microphone.
Which language are you using in? The cut, copy, paste are likely triggering built-in commands. You can remove these using
