Have to click twice for voice to be recognised

Many times, usually after several hours away or the next day, voice in doesn’t pick up my voice the first time I click the extension icon even though the icon turns red to indicate recording as started. I often have to click it off and then on again for voice to be recognised.

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Are you using a wireless headset / airpods? We have noticed this issue occasionally with wireless input devices.

This happens as the wireless headset is treating another device it is connected to as primary.
