How to disable a single built-in voice command?

Hi,

I just wanted to say that I really like your module, however, I’m facing an issue with the “cancel” (annuler in french) command: as soon as I say the word, all the dictated text gets erased. This is quite problematic, especially when I’m writing to a customer to suggest cancelling an order – which happens regularly.

The issue is that I can’t disable just this one command – I’m forced to enable or disable all voice commands. Is there a way to to deactivate specific commands individually?

Thank you for the kind words — I’m really glad to hear you’re enjoying Voice In!
Regarding the issue with the “annuler” command (which triggers the built-in “cancel” action and deletes text), you can disable it by overriding it with a custom voice command. Here’s how:

:hammer_and_wrench: To disable the “annuler” command:

  1. Open the Voice In Options page
  2. Scroll to the Custom Voice Commands section.
  3. Click “Add Command.”
  4. Set the “Say This” field to:
    annuler
  5. Set the “To Insert This” field to:
    <unset>
  6. Click Save.

You can find more info on <unset> in the Voice In Custom Voice Commands guide
